Yaks Guiland Course

Let's go to mysterious forest with the giant trees of thousands of years old.
There is a well-maintained promenade, and it is a trekking course that you can easily enjoy regardless of experience or age.

Yaksugi
This is a thousand year old cedar grows naturally with 500m height.
Yakusugi, which grows slowly in a heavy rainy environment in Yakushima, grows into a mysterious huge tree.

Experience the circulation of forest life
In Yaks Guiland, trees seem to be mysterious. Buds growing from fallen trees due to typhoons, while cedars are growing trees by trees continously. The sight is exceeded imaginations, so that visitors can experience the mystery of forest's circulation of lives in an eternal time.

One course
Yaks Guiland is divided into four courses: 30 minutes, 50 minutes, 80 minutes and 150 minutes. 30-minute and 50-minute courses have a promenade, thus possible to walk with sneakers.
80 -minute and 150-minute courses have a slightly steep mountain trail, but you can meet more unique and dynamic giant trees.

Difficulties: Beginner (30 minutes to 150 minutes)

Shiratani Yun Suikyo Course

A course allows participants to go mountain stream along the water vein.
The mysterious sight of mosses has welcomed you.
This is a popular course avalable for those even have little climbing experience.

Moss Musumu Forest

The mysterious and beautiful mountain stream is likely to be a stage of the movie "Mononoke Princess".

Rainy season is recommended
After the rain, river stream flowing through the valley increases, the moss is in dark green. Thus, you can have a more delicious taste.

Taikoiwa
It is a granite cowstone located at the end point of Shiratani Unsuikyo. From this place, you can see a wonderful panoramic view of primeval forest spreading far below your eyes.
