In this activity, you can learn deeply about the historical Japanese food culture, and how it's made taught by a professoinal chef. The course will cover from basic stuff such as how to use basic Japanese seasonings, to making a specific regional taste.
Our menu has a wide range of selection from Wagashi to Ramen, and if you like alcoholic beverage, we might as well provide you a Sake tasting experience. Have a special moment to remember by having lip-smacking treats you made by your own with instructions from professional chef.

Did you know that Japanese food is called the healthiest by the experts?
In 2013, Japanese cuisine was even registered as UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Two of typical meal compositions are called Ichiju-Issai and Ichiju-Sansai. This has been practiced since Zen temple Kamakura period; its meaning is to consider simplicity and frugality. Ju means soup and Sai means side dish, therefore Ichiju-Issai is consisting of soup, side dish, rice and in some cases pickles too. Meanwhile, Ichiju-Sansai covers of soup, one main dish, two side dishes and rice.

In this experience, we are able to arrange the following menu:
Tempura, Sushi, Kaiseki cuisine, Buddhist Shojin cuisine, Japanese Homemade dish, Soba noodles, Ramen, Wagashi/Japanese confectionery, Vegan Sushi. If you have a request for another Japanese menu, we will try to check the availability.
Each specialized instructor will teach you essential techniques of Japanese cuisine, such as how to make Dashi soup stock as Japanese basic cuisine.
It will be a wonderful memory during your tour in Japan. You can bring that knowledge to your home, cook on your own, and get souvenirs which will be more valuable than the instant foods.

One of the traditional Japanese food is called Wagashi. It is consumed for daily breaktime, seasonal events, celebration, and is an essential sweets in Japanese eating habits.
Japanese generally love seasons and its culture; they express tastes of four seasons by using seasonal ingredients for Wagashi. Wagashi flavor symbolizes that the new season is coming, not limited only on how it tastes but also its artistic visual appearance such as flowery or animal design.
Let's make your own original Wagashi and feel the profundity of seasons and cultures that Japanese have cherished.

    Then a chef will lecture you about Japanese food. All of our selected chefs are from notable restaurants in each cooking style.

    Our chef will teach you the cooking procedure.
    It teaches thoughtful cutting, Dashi soup stock making, techniques to make the food delicious, seasoning and arranging the dishes beautifully.
