It includes 88 “official” temples and numerous other sacred sites where Kukai (Kōbō Daishi) is believed to have trained or have spent time during the 9th Century.
If walked, the entire route is about 1,200 kilometers long which allows one to experience the abundant natural surroundings of Shikoku and opportunities to mingle with locals.

Awa Odori (Awa dance festival)
Experience the Awa Odori, one of Japan's top three Bon dances, in Tokushima! We will prepare a box seat where you can feel the heat and excitement of the dancers up close.
"Odoru aho ni miru aho, onaji aho nara odoranya sonson♪" (A fool dancing is watched by a fool, If they're both fools, let's dance♪). It's the lyrics sung by the dancers during the festival.

Gion Festival
The Gion Matsuri Festival is the largest festival in Kyoto.
This festival turns the entire city of Kyoto into one big party, especially in mid-July when the heavily decorated floats are unveiled to the public and then paraded through the streets.
The Gion Festival is not only the top of the three major festivals in Kyoto (Gion Festival, Jidai Festival, and Aoi Matsuri), but also the top of the three major festivals in Japan (Kyoto Gion Festival, Osaka Tenjin Festival, and Tokyo Kanda Festival)!
Tohoku Festivals
